The 80s and early 90s were a good time for horror fans. Besides a flurry of amazing horror flicks, there were some popular TV shows coming into prominence. Monsters was one such one, being a half-hour anthology TV series that had a successful run from 1988 to 1991. It contained diverse plots and the focus, as the name suggests, was largely on monsters of some sorts. They explored everything from aliens to vampires and demons. There were some remarkable original creations like the pig people and spider-woman. This was one of the selling points of the serial in an era of practical effects because the fans loved the authenticity on offer!
