Lego has a series of replicas of famous artworks. The most recent one in the series is a version of the Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo DaVinci around 1503, possibly the most famous painting in the world. The masterpiece features an ornate shiny golden frame and a beautiful rendition of the painting. It was cool seeing the various layers come together until the smiling lady gradually took form. One thing I like about Lego's versions of the paintings is that they are not just flat-tiled, they are actually given depth which makes them seem a bit more real.
