The narrative of the game doesn't always line up with what you observe and experience in the gameplay itself. For instance, considering that my objective was to wipe away my identity and get the heck out of the area unaccosted, I don't follow through with that. Instead, I stick around to pursue other goals. Plus, considering that I supposedly made a grand profit from the gun smuggling fiasco I recently cleared up, my pockets are rather low on funds. I think that would bother me less if there was a stronger sense of those funds being invested otherwise. To build up a group of henchmen or stockpile my own munitions, for instance.
