Book Discussion 24: True Tales of the Unknown (Halloween Special)
I know there are hardcore believers in this supernatural, occult stuff. However, this compilation certainly doesn't put its best foot forward, at least if it's trying to be a convincing account to pull in skeptical or critical thinkers (not to thump my own chest or anything). The stories are either too goofy or have critical issues with their credibility, as the accounts have no way to falsify or prove them to be true. The first tale is still hilarious to me, especially as it was supposed to be read as a solemn and sincere event. That's about the only value one could get from this compilation. Laughs. Sorry if my Halloween special isn't spooky enough.
The book description and reviews were a bit broad, but I believe this is the same book I read. Amazon Link: https://www.amazon.com/TRUE-TALES-True-Tales-3/dp/0553291602
