I don't realize this at first, but the missions cycle through a set amount of pre-set levels and situations. Once you get used to how to navigate and work through the enemies, it's not too hard to grind for some extra money and an achievement. If you pick up all the money available to you in stages and complete just a few side missions, you'll have plenty to buy all the upgrades. However, some of them are poorly set-up, as your spawn point will be right next to an enemy. The upside is that you don't actually have to kill all the enemies to succeed. All you have to do is reach the objective and escape, with the exit point spawning next to the objective once you get it.
