Intel recently announced the rebranding of its Intel Core series of products, but the details regarding the desktop series were not fully revealed. However, leaked roadmaps suggest that Intel is planning to release an upgraded version of its Raptor Lake chips for both desktop and mobile segments. The main focus of this upgrade is to offer higher clock speeds and support faster memory. This upgrade will be part of the 14th Generation Core series.

According to Chinese media outlet "Golden Pig Upgrade," which has a track record of sharing Intel's upcoming product plans, the Raptor Lake-S/HX series will be included in the 14th Gen Core segment, while the new branding will be applied to the Meteor Lake and Raptor Lake-U/P models. It is important to note that the new Core 3/5/7 branding will be exclusive to the low-power U-series mobile chips, and the Core Ultra branding will be used only for the Meteor Lake chips. The Raptor Lake refresh, on the other hand, will not feature this new branding.

In essence, this move by Intel is similar to AMD's approach with the Ryzen 7000 series, where they combined multiple architectures under a new product series.
