If we truly love a character, does it matter what actor or actress plays them? I think that’s one of the toughest questions when it comes to recasting or rebooting certain characters. Like, we all love Obi-Wan Kenobi. But would we still be as excited for his Kenobi spinoff show if it was a different actor playing the famed Jedi? It’s tough! Especially when a character is so popular over the years that studios can’t help but pump out new movies or TV shows with them in it.

This is why we’ve seen so many different actors play James Bond. The suave superspy has been an icon for over 60 years, and we’ve seen the character be played by the devilish Sean Connery, the goofy George Lazenby, the suave Roger Moore, the darker Timothy Dalton, the modern Pierce Brosnan and the blunt instrument Daniel Craig.
