It's prettier and runs better than Dark Souls: Remastered, but the interface is still surprisingly clunky, I'm still not particularly enjoying the combat, and I'm still not finding the basic game loop compelling; and now there's berry picking and other conventional open world stuff on top of that.
I toggled the Blood option off.
If going more modern in the series has been less compelling for me, I wonder if I went more ancient...
Update: now I'm feeling guilty about rushing this play (so as not to exceed Steam's two hour refund window) and that almost certainly affected my enjoyment of it, or lack thereof. And now I'm getting urges to repurchase play it in a super-chill-out way. = ooo So I will probably re-buy it at some point. I kind of want to see if I can stick to DeS for a while though? And also I bought III for some reason...
