1956 Ford Thunderbird Review | 1955-1957 | 1st Gen
This is a review of a 1956 Ford Thunderbird which is the 1st generation model that hit the lots at the end of 1954 as a 1955 model and continued through 1957. The T-Bird was Ford's response to the original Chevy Corvette and created a new vehicle class that came to be know as a Personal Luxury Car. The 1956 model came standard with a porthole window in the removable fiberglass roof and a Continental tire kit on the rear of the vehicle.
