There is no closer companion for the Cavalier than their mount. The mighty Destriers they ride into battle are nigh on bonded with them, able to anticipate the signals of it's rider, willing to brave the clash of arms, man and beast and come through the other side with its rider.
The careful selection of a mount for the Cavalier is an incredible matter of life and death; for without their mount, they will be robbed of much of their prowess and left comparatively crippled.
