In the year 2012 Chess Stars came up with an exciting book - "The Modernized Reti and the Anti-Slav Systems" written by GM Aleksander Delchev. A lot of players studied it and essayed the recommendations with the white pieces getting excellent results. But the players were not the only ones to be benefitted. The author himself learnt a lot out of the book and used the analysis he had mentioned in the book to beat two strong GMs - Athanasios Mastrovasilis and Liviu Dieter Nisipeanu.

This interview with GM Aleksander Delchev was done at the 8th IBCA World Team Championship for the blind 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Delchev was present at the tournament as a commentator for ChessBomb and did a fantastic job.

In the thumbnail picture Aleksander is with his wife WGM Emilia Djingarova.
