Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a platforming game developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision. A direct sequel of Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped and retconning the games that followed it, you will be following the Bandicoot siblings Crash and Coco in their journey to different dimensions to recover the Quantum Masks in order to stop the villains team-up of Doctor Neo Cortex and Doctor Nefarious trophy in their attempt in ruling over the multiverse. Aiding the main characters are their former enemy Dingodile and an alternate-dimension counterpart of Crash’s ex-girlfriend Tawna.

This game got generally favorable reception which metacritic scores of 85 (PS4) and 83 (Xbox One and PC). A return to its core, the game was largely praised by bringing back the classic platforming introduced by the first 3 games of the franchise and even improved it by making it more polished with many considering it the best of the franchise. The increased roster of playable characters in the game and the diversity of each of their gameplay were likewise highly praised. However, criticisms were placed on the much harder difficulty of the game, the camera angle during particular sections of the game and although the additional mechanics introduced by the Quantum Masks were welcomed, it was criticized for some of its technical issues and mechanics.

As for me, I really2x loved this game despite in my opinion being one of the hardest of all time to platinum (other one is Devil May Cry V). I loved how the game got back to its roots by focusing on the classic platforming which we all grew to love in the old days. The difficulty was ok for me since it is a classic staple in platforming games; however, I felt the perfect runs and speed runs requirements were too strict and unfair sometimes. I would also note some of the buggy stages which will form part of your stress if you ever want to perfect the game. Regardless, I really liked the storyline they introduced in this part and made some good twists here and there. Its cartoonish graphics, animation and dialogue are all awesome which gives you some breathing room between its hard missions. Overall, one of the toughest games out there to 100% for perfectionist but a still enjoyable game for casual players, Enjoy the walkthrough!!!
