31This is round 13 of the 2002 EA Sports 250cc Supercross Championship from the Silverdome in Pontiac, MI. This is the 8th of only 9 250cc Supercross races from 2002 that I have.
Returning 250cc contenders like David Vuillemin, 250cc rookies Travis Pastrana, Nathan Ramsey and Ernesto Fonseca, 250cc sophomore Stephane Roncada, Ezra Lusk, Tim Ferry, Mike LaRocco, 7-time Supercross champ Jeremy McGrath, Kevin Windham, Sebastien Tortelli, and defending champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2002 250cc EA Sports Supercross Championship. This is Travis Pastrana's, Ernesto Fonseca's, and Nathan Ramsey's rookie Supercross seasons. This race is well known for Ricky Carmichael's bad crash in the main, resulting in his visor being torn and his bike all busted up, but coming back to finish in 2nd. Watch an exciting 6-rider battle for the lead between Ezra Lusk, Ernesto Fonseca, David Vuillemin, Tim Ferry, Sebastien Tortelli, and Nathan Ramsey. Jeremy McGrath earns his 2nd podium of the season with a 3rd place, and his first podium since round 8 at Atlanta. This race marks the one and only 250cc Supercross win for Nathan Ramsey's long career after having to qualify for the main out of the Last Chance.
