Podcast Season has begun again in 2013, and in this new season I will start things off by showing you how to run WordPress on your laptop. I will explain this on a Mac, but the process is very similar (if not identical) on a PC. All you need is an installer that gives you Apache, MySQL and PHP on your local machine.

Don't worry if you don't know what this means, I'll explain it in the screencast. Here are links to these packages:

for Mac you'll want MAMP
for PC you can either go for XAMPP or WAMP Server

You'll also need a copy of WordPress which you can download here.
