2 years after the launch of the SBR4, Hirochi colaborated with Ibishu and decided on introducing a V6 engine option in addition to the Flat 4 in the SBR4. It was a 2.8L V6 that can be paired to a 6 speed manual transmission or a 7 speed DCT. Though only making around 240 horsepower, the engine bay it was installed in was well insulated and resulted in the engine becoming very quiet which for some reason attracted buyers. The V6 was offered as the standard engine for the base model and if you wanted more power, you would have to ask for the "Sport" or "Twin Turbo Sport" models which has the more powerful 2.5L Flat 4. The 2.0L F4 that was standard in the 2013 and 2014 base models do still exist in the 2015 model year, but are produced in far less numbers as a result of dealerships ordering the V6 base model. The car that's in the video is a base model, but had special ordered "Sport" addons thus having the "S" on rear.
