Woke up this morning (got myself a gun). Let’s start again…

I woke up early and refreshed my MGO2R game list only to find that there was a curious new room being hosted called, “NEW MAP”. It had some recognisable names from the MGO2R developer community so I joined the room and was invited to the Skype call with Gen-Snake, Pro Maniac, Ace(ThePuresetOne) and Meepy. Hilarity ensued.

So for the record, I know this new map (and probably the others that will be demonstrated) will not be for me, personally. However, make no mistake, this takes away NOTHING from the sheer awesomeness of developers within the MGO2R community who strive to give us that little bit extra to keep us going, especially while the imminent birth of MGO3 draws nearer by the day. Less than a week now till MGO3, right?

To elaborate on the above, this “isn’t for me”, for the same reason that I never did find out the rules to play “Zombie” mode or “Prison” rules back when official MGO2 servers were live.

As I mentioned in this video in the live Skype chat, having been a part of the MGO community for approaching a decade now, I’ve had more than my share of “broken” game mechanics and glitches etc. The MGO2R developers are NOT to be blamed at all, this is NOT their fault and they strived to bring us a unique experience which I appreciate greatly.

Bottom line: “Desert Duel” along with another map, were incompletes by the Konami. I would have loved to have played these completed maps, for sure. As it stands right now, SOP doesn’t work properly, to the extent that even NARC3 proved useless (not that anyone uses that… except me on occasion), parts of the map are “broken”, there are glitch areas - as Meepy demonstrated in game - and only 3 modes are playable, TDM, DM and TSNE.
