21319 LEGO Friends Central Perk is a 1,070 piece LEGO Ideas set designed by fan designer Aymeric Fievet from Normandy, France and lovingly recreates in LEGO the Central Perk cafe as featured in Friends episodes from 1994 to 2004. It's where Ross, Monica, Rachel, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey hung out to drink coffee in New York City and became an icon of the 1990s making megastars of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
LEGO's Central Perk features a near-perfect recreation of the Central Perk coffee machine and service counter plus the seating area (including orange couch) where the friends hung out throughout the nineties. The set features several custom LEGO elements including a Central Perk window and menu board including coffee choice such as the Manhattan Mocha and Broadway Quartet. Easter eggs recreated in LEGO's Central Perk include a poster from the Ichiban lipstick for men campaign starring Joey Tribbiani and a smelly cat poster advertising a live performance by Phoebe.
This is a wonderful 27th LEGO Ideas set and a great tribute to a decade of Friends and Central Perk. Ross, Monica, Rachel, Chandler, Phoebe, Joey and Gunther minifigs really bring this set to life and capture the Friends characters perfectly.
