Well... Here I am out of Earth as I witness the Tale of the Lunarians. What are they? Play any of the first Final Fantasy IV versions. The NDS version is better, I'm honest - it's just to give you a little easier time, if still the hardest to play.
This is a fun fact/not plot relevant:
- the summoning spirits are first used by the Summoners in Final Fantasy III. Evokers are weaker versions of Summoners with spells with a coin-flip of Black and White magic, while summoners only have their spirits attacking.
- In Final Fantasy IV, we don't have all spirits to deal offensive powers, but to also support us like the Asura (healing) on-screen. The spirits are called Eidolons (a word from the dictionary). This game also marks their first plot actions.
- Like the King of Baron who covers his allies and harnesses White Magic, the swordsman distracts his allies and harnesses Black Magic. They are nods to Final Fantasy III: a White Knight covers his allies and heals with White Magic, while a Black Knight uses Black Magic (in the NES anyway) and the Viking taunts her or his targets.
- Fusoya is a Sage just like the one from Final Fantasy III: A wizard who masters both Black and White magic but with less energy to sustain them.
- Don't listen to Final Fantasy. The original mythology's Bahamut is a fish and Final Fantasy's concept as a dragon is from Dungeons & Dragons.
