Warcraft 3 Reforged Recorded in 2022 on Ver. 1.33.0

This is the reforged version of what would be the campaign mode of the Frozen Throne expansion in the original Warcraft 3.

Chapter Three of the Terror of the Tides Campaign.

Warden Maiev Shadowsong continues her pursuit of Illidan, who was her captive for the entirety of his imprisonment until Tyrande broke him out to join in the battle against the Burning Legion.

Maiev pushes on with urgency to stop Illidan and leads her forces into the Tomb of Sargeras. They are immediately confronted with demons and evil beings that stand guard against any who seek to intrude and disturb the resting place of their long dead master.

On the walls, Maiev discovers writing left behind by Gul'dan as he records his last moments in his doomed quest to claim the power of Sargeras. As she explores the tomb, Maiev discovers pieces of the Shadow Orb, a powerful artifact that once belonged to Gul'dan but had been shattered into many pieces scattered throughout the tomb.

Piecing together Gul'dan's last moments, Maiev ventures deeper into the tomb and comes across a statue that looked strangely similar to the night elf empress Azshara who had been responsible for bringing demons to Azeroth in the first place.

The sea creatures that followed Illidan were actually Naga, the twisted form that the former night elf followers of Azshara had turned into when they were swallowed by the ocean in a destructive torrent of magical energy. They had been waiting and biding their time under the ocean for ten thousand years to get their revenge on the night elves.

Maiev manages to defeat the naga guards that blocked the way to Illidan with a few reinforcements that managed to find their way into the tomb. Having gathered the fragments of the Shadow Orb, Maiev had acquired a powerful item that would help her in her upcoming battle.

Illidan's wasn't searching randomly and in fact had access to the knowledge that Gul'dan possessed. The Skull of Gul'dan that Illidan had destroyed and claimed the power of back before he fought Tichondrius was the very skull of the same Gul'dan who died in Sargeras's tomb. Illidan merely came to claim what Gul'dan could not.

When Maiev reaches Illidan it was too late. Though the full power of Sargeras was beyond Illidan's reach, he had acquired the Eye of Sargeras. Illidan chooses to bury Maiev and her forces alive out of a personal grudge against her as his jailer instead of outright killing her then and there.

Maiev uses her abilities to blink out of the collapsing room, forced to abandon her forces trapped behind the doorway now blocked by debris. Dodging as she rushes past demons and dark creatures of the sea, Maiev barely makes it out of the tomb in time with her life.

The game is far from fixed both in being playable and its reputation, but I'd like to share how the state of things are in late 2022.
