Playing the non-2000 team of Saisyu Kusanagi, Goro Daimon, and Yashiro Nanakase in The King of Fighters '98--specifically, the "NEOGEO mode" in The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match on PS4! It's on the highest difficulty level--8--with Flash and the Super meter turned off.
This turned out to be a really potent team, even in my ham-hands! : D
I'm playing this version because it does frame interpolation to smooth out the shadow flicker effect (and has overall better emulation and options than the eh whatever the other PS2 port on PS4 that also has '98 and frame interpolation in it is called). : P
0:00 - startup & settings
1:32 - on frame interpolation
5:22 - options & setup
10:54 - play 1
36:38 - play 2
1:02:03 - wrap-up & what's next!
Notes:
3'50 - It varied. There are lots of upward shadows in '96, for instance, but not in '97.
11'48 - Totally wrong. Character relationship indicates whether Advanced mode power stocks, if you had supers turned on, would be gained or lost when going to the next character, as well as which characters can be called in to "assist" other characters--when dizzied or held by the opponent, for instance (mash the buttons (or hold ABC?) to call for assistance; supposedly doesn't always work, but is more likely to if you have lower health, w/ live friendly or neutral teammate nearby in background).
16'45 - Chin : p
26'05 - Yashiro / Kim special intro
28'47 - Saisyu / Kyo special intro
