It has been confirmed that publisher 2K has begun work on a new game in the Bioshock series. However, series creator Ken Levine will not be involved with this new project. Some of the series veterans who worked on the previous games will be involved but the project will ultimately be spearheaded by a new name who has worked on the XCOM and Civilization franshises which are not remotely similar to Bioshock.

While the prospect of a new Bioshock game may sound exciting, it ultimately raises a lot of concern for those that appreciated the older games for what they were and are still considered to be some of the best videogames of all time.
