How did I know that no Mike Conley would still be a problem? This should have been a rather harmless game that I decided to do before possibly simming to the end of the season. Well, George Hill took up the mantle and ran PnR with Stokes like they were prime Nash and Amar'e. Seriously, he was navigating like he was the star PG of the Spurs and not Tony. It was almost like playing a version of myself with the amount of screens and rolls that led to wide open 3s and cuts to the rim. There was a point where I wanted to do it back, test Hill and Howard themselves to see if they could move in space. Dwight decided to flash back to a combo of Rockets D12 and his dominance on my 2k15 Celtics team. Hack-a-Dwight was impossible because of his infuriating ability to immediately pass it up after inbounds/rebounds. It didn't even work on Mozgov lol. Then there's the Kukoc aka Mirotic making contested Dirk fades and generally being the best stretch four 2K has ever created.

This is one of those games where stats fly by and you don't realize what's happening. You have to keep composed and forget each time or it becomes a 10-point lead, instead of always being within five. My response to that is pushing the ball down constantly but trying to avoid bad passes and decisions at the same time. But it's hard when some of these turnovers and plays where players are vacating space (especially on dunks and such) were straight up silly. 2K AI in a nutshell 😑You could argue in spite of that, we didn't deserve to be in it and were only saved by Johnson and Frank not being found open or missing some key shots. Ultimately, Grant's defense was appreciated but Coleman provided a huge boost at the end. Have to shout out Towns for making a difference when I thought he would only have 12, and Watkins for a great line along with his defensive help.

"Playoff preview" intensity with of course a heart-stopping ending. I was legit in the prayer/shock position. All of that for a chance at a 50th win against an under .500 team...
