2nd Extra Life 2023 Stream: 50 Turns of Mario Party 5, 6 & 7
0Even more Mario Party for Extra Life. 50 turns of each game in turn, specifically from 5 to 7. You know, as you will hear me say many times across this whole archive, I was kind of hoping to do the final four Mario Parties in one solid go, but these three just took as much time as the previous four. Exhausting, but for a good cause.
Also, hey, I do think they're a solid batch. Mario Party 5 is the lowest of the set and it's a fairly good Mario Party. 6 is pretty damn good and I have said before that Mario Party 7 is lowkey one of the best Mario Parties. I'd put it up with 3! Of course, it wouldn't be Mario Party if I weren't screwed a few times out of perfectly good wins, and boy howdy did that happen. That's Mario Party!
I also talked about a fair of stuff over the course of 11 hours. Games that'll be on my GOTY list, best gaming moments overall, what's to come in 2024, all the new major Nintendo games that'll come after the Switch 2, cubing, damming the Gibraltar, movies that came out this year, costco, the future of Mario Maker, my favorite roller coasters, and more. A lot of looking forward as the year comes to an end and it comes time to think about how there's one coming right after it.
Also there's a bunch of anime talk about my favorite shows of the year, which there are a lot of it turns out. That said to keep them from taking over the whole stream I restricted myself to only talk about them in the Anime Hour, which I continue to think is a great thing to do for super long big event streams.
There still remains Mario Party 8. I need a break from big long event streams, so I am going to punt a bit and say the final stream will be in like a week or two. That said, I will add an additional incentive or two for more segments on that stream. For instance, at 200 dollars best of three duel map Mario Party 3 gets added. Look forward to it!
