Jin and Hobi will always be our favorite chaotic duo. 2SEOK makes us laugh and confuse at the same time.
As global performers, BTS has learned to be comfortable in front of massive crowds. Engaging with fans was so naturally easy for the boys. Off stage, however, is a whole different story. BTS’s 2022 MBTI result revealed that five of the members are actually introverts.
Being an introvert doesn't automatically mean that someone would rather spend time alone. But normally, introverts don’t want the attention on them, and that doesn’t seem to fit Jin’s vibe. But being extra bold and overconfident appears to be his coping mechanism. The truth is that Jin doesn't like being the center of attention. And his ears turn red when he gets shy and uncomfortable.
Jin is one of the most introverted members of BTS. He enjoys having his alone time or being with people that he already knows. But in July 2022, Jin was left with no choice but to leave the comfort of his room to attend an event. It wasn’t just any regular event that he could sneakily avoid, but it was Hobi’s “JITB” listening party.
Before BANGTANTV released the event sketch, we only saw some pics and clips shared by Hobi and his guests. Extroverts Namjoon and Jimin had no problem being social butterflies at Hobi's party. Taehyung proved that introverts can have fun too. Introvert Jungkook may have mingled with guests, but he was most hyper when with Hobi.
Two members were noticeably missing from these posts -- Jin and Yoongi. We later found out that Yoongi wasn't able to attend because he had a fever. So, what about Jin? Well, Jin shared that he was at the event and posted photos to prove it. But he said he stayed in a corner reading webtoons, so he didn't have pictures with the guests.
The “JITB” Listening Party event sketch later revealed that Jin was already worried in the makeup/dressing room. He was nervous meeting the new people Hobi invited to the party. Of course, Hobi wanted Jin to be at his very important event, but he also understood his discomfort and made him feel at ease. Hobi reassured Jin that his presence was enough and that he didn't have to entertain the guests. In fact, when Jin wanted to leave early, Hobi let him do so without question.
Unfortunately, the "JITB” listening party event sketch didn't capture Jin watching webtoons in the corner, but there was footage of him drinking alone. A quick clip of Jin walking with a drink in his hand earned him a brand new meme.
Jin's fellow introvert Jungkook was clearly more comfortable than he was. Turning him into a drink holder. Another introvert, Taehyung, tried to make Jin dance, but failed. Jin's only reason for being there was to support Hobi. And since Hobi allowed him to just be his introvert self, Jin did exactly that.
