Features stunning retro graphics...and not just the normal fare we're used to by now...but suffers from a lack of the same thought when it comes to game design. The first area will leave you lost, and maybe a map will help, but just go with it. Keep a keen eye on the background and look for walls and platforms. TRUST ME.
Stick with it and you'll be mesmerized by the world. There's good variety here, but some saminess to the combat, too. This one is divisive, but it clocks in at 5-7 hours so it's worth experiencing.
Don't expect greatness, though.
