By collecting the Chronopointer, Hoot Hourglass and Time Anchor and then entering Highvault, you'll trigger a lore event, witnessing the catastrophe happening 800 years ago. Thunderbolts and Meteorites dropping from the sky. According to the Lore this happened in the year 2255. Stating that the temperature would reach 7000 degree's. This in turn appearently was caused by a Team of scientists experimenting with the Gravitation reversing devices, sending something really massive with it into space during the year of 2251, only for it to return 4 years later.
The Datalore is not complete yet, but this seems to be connected.
30XX will soon leave early access (9th of August). I'm sure we'll get more to the lore then.
