31 Days of Sonic the Hedgehog--Sonic 2 Chaos Emerald Exploit
6Not sure if this exploit is intentional as I couldn't find any information about it, but you can continue collecting Chaos Emeralds where you left off after a full or even partial playthrough.
You can start from the special stage using the level select code (as seen in the video), end your game and start right back up at the special stage (or next special stage after obtaining an emerald). You then get dumped in Emerald Hill Zone 1 for a few more easy attempts (after nabbing the requisite 50 rings, of course.)
It's not necessary to cheese things this way (as I didn't know about it when I got Super Sonic in 96) but it is good for practicing bonus stages 5 and 7, which can be challenging.
Who knew becoming Super Sonic could be so quick!
