The Thunder Plains might just be the most important area for capturing fiends! Once completed, you'll acquire the 99 Chocobo Wings. With 60 of them, you can customize AutoHaste! Easily one of the best auto abilities in the game, especially for Kimahri with it's crazy low Agility. And we won't have to deal with being at low HP anymore! Very nice.

As for the Plains itself, the enemies are still no pushover since HP was never raised. There's one thing we have that we didn't have before though, Mighty Guard!

I'll just list the important fights as they come. I started with Confuse Ward just in case the Buer(s) show up. Once at low enough HP, I used Potions to get as close to half HP without going over it or SOS Haste.

1) Double Larva:
These guys are a pushover. They get captured in one hit, so it's a great battle to regain your OD if you're not full from the last fight. It's also very nice to get on low HP to prepare SOS Haste.

2) Iron Giant:
Mighty Guard isn't strictly needed in this fight, but it helps to reduce your damage by a lot. A Piercing critical will KO it outright but I didn't want to take too long so I hit it once, then switched to the Capture weapon to get it, while recharging OD.

3) Kusariqqu, Aerouge, Melusine:
This fight isn't super hard, but it can be tricky with untimely dodges. You want to get rid of the Kusariqqu and the Melusine asap, either due to damage or due to Petrification. Luckily, with the Stone Ward + SOS Haste armor, it's safe to go for the Kusariqqu first and then attempt to get the Melusine. Once done, you can switch to SOS NulShock for the Aerouge.

4) Double Qactuar:
Honestly, don't do what I did. I wasn't even at 50% so if any of them used 1000 Needles, that would have been a game over. Alas, the best way is to have 1001+ HP with SOS Haste and just hope your attacks lands. Using a Seed Cannon to take one out guaranteed is the safest play, but leaves your OD bar empty for the next fight.

5) Kusariqqu, Buer, Gold Element:
The Buers are still the scariest with their confusion. Lucid Armlet is the best way to go here. With Mighty Guard, you'll lessen the incoming damage. Again, take out the Kusariqqu asap, then slowly wail on the Buer, finally take out the Gold Element. You can also take out the Gold Element first, but it takes more hits. Either way, not hard, just time consuming.

In this recording, I never encountered the double Buer + Iron Giant, but in that case, it's a simple case of switching to Confuse Ward, followed by using Mighty Guard, then beating up the Iron Giant and finally swinging your spear until you hit the others.

The rest of the recording is honestly just me fighting the same enemies over and over, so feel free to skip that. :)

In this challenge I am only allowed to use Kimahri during the game. The other party members will either have to KO themselves or try to run away as soon as possible. When Kimahri is not available in the party, the party must follow NSGNSNENNE rules (No Sphere Grid + No Summons + No Escape + No [No Encounters]). While I am allowing Customizing (the challenge would not be possible otherwise), I am placing certain 'limits' on myself. For example, I won't Customize First Strike or Evade & Counter unless it's absolutely mandatory to get through the fight(s). Combined with the No Escape rules, that should make for an interesting run!

Abbreviations:
OSG = Own Sphere Grid
KO = Kimahri Only
NE = No Escape
NNE = No [No Encounters]
