This was a challenge originally started by Japanese players for fun, so I decided to have a crack at it. My internet wasn't doing well last night, so that's why the video is going to be fairly laggy. Recreating the worlds doesn't make this set seed; the only thing that carries over when recreating the world is the preset, so I'm just making it easier to reset for myself. The real time is off at the end because I accidentally paused my timer in the middle of the run for a couple of minutes, making the RTA off.

The preset makes the world have no ground, and the only things that can generate are structures. The main source of wood can be found in the mineshafts floating throughout the world. The main ways to get eyes of ender to go to the end and defeat the ender dragon are by trading. Hunting for mobs isn't as reliable, and I'm sure you could do something with tower, but I chose to play in hardcore mode for this challenge. The strategy is to basically loot temples, villages, and mineshaft chests in order to get materials to help you survive as well as trade with villagers for emeralds and supplies. I managed to find a 7 emerald eye trade priest in this run, and I milked him as much as possible to get the eyes needed.

I spawned thousands of blocks out from the origin, so my goal was to keep moving closer to the origin since strongholds only spawn from approximately 600 to 1100 blocks from the origin in pre 1.9. Unfortunately, both of the eyes of ender I threw were lost to the void, and that made me one eye short when I reached the actual stronghold. However, I was able to find a pearl in a chest, and use the obsidian I had been stockpiling to build a nether portal in the portal room, allowing me to go to the nether and get the blaze rods I needed in order to enter the end. Thankfully, I had a good end island spawn, and I was able to finish a relatively safe end fight.

Overall, this challenge was pretty fun and a pretty good casual speedrun. If I could compare it to something, skyblock definitely comes to mind. I chose 1.7 for this speedrun over 1.8 mainly because wool is easier to acquire in 1.7, and you're going to be coming across many villages, so one of them is bound to have a priest that has a good eye trade. I could also use the wool to grab more emeralds from shepherds, so that ended up being pretty useful. I probably won't do this challenge again, but if I need to just chill for a couple of hours, it's certainly a consideration. I'm happy with the time I got, and this is the current world record for this preset. Once again, I apologize for the bad video quality.
