Project Ascension is a private World of Warcraft server with various game modes. In short, instead of starting a specific class like a Paladin or a Warlock, you get random abilities that come from all classes. You could make a Hunter Druid hybrid for instance. There are different servers with different rulesets on this premise. Project Ascension is currently in Season 7. You can play many different kinds of levelling game modes and even Prestige, meaning you level the same character again for rewards.

Later, Conquest of Azeroth will also release, which has its own custom classes like the Barbarian or the Chronomancer.
