16th November 1943 - As it appears our intelligence was deceived! The Soviets have no intention of flanking and encircling Kiev, it seems they mean to aussault it directly. Not only are several lead Soviet units already assaulting Kiev, but there are scattered reports of a major pratrooper operation taking place further south of the city! My objective is to quickly redeploy my forces south to stabilize this serious situation. I must hold as many objectives as possible, but I may need to counterattack to reclaim lost objectives, as our Romanian allies and several auxiliary reserves will quickly be overrun by advancing Soviets. I am warned that the Soviets have once again seized the initiative with this surpise assault. As before, I will be forced to react to their attacks in a defensive role.

Difficulty is set to Rommel and we are trying to do a blind run with a historical unit composition. I will explain some advanced tactics and my thougths about different strategic approaches.
