Oops, I guess the recording software cut off the bottom portion of the screen. Anyway, this video showcases a proof of concept I'm working on. Right now, when characters run forward they have a bit of momentum. They do a "Get Up And Go" animation before they commit to their full run speed. It only works when they're moving in the forward direction, but soon I'll implement inertia on every movement direction.
