La TMGL (Trackmania Grand League) est la compétition officielle et la plus haute sur Trackmania, mais elle a également une ligue 2 ! Nommée "Challenger League", celle-ci est composée des 17-32 meilleurs joueurs. Organisée par Nadeo eux-mêmes.

Les 5 maps du Step 1 sont sorties le 19 septembre.

Après chaque Step, 1 nouvelle map sort pour remplacer la première map du step précédent. Mais la nouvelle map devient la map des rounds en 2 laps.

La TMGL c'est 8 steps avec 1 step par dimanche. 1 step se déroule ainsi :
5 maps, 6 laps sur les 4 premières puis la dernière map jouée en 2 lap. Sur les 4 premières maps, les joueurs récupèrent leurs points normalement sans aucune perte. Puis sur la dernière map 8 rounds sont joués. Nouveau système un peu particulier. Sur la dernière map, le premier du round 1 double ses points. Le 1er du 2ème, 3ème et 4ème round également. Ensuite le premier du 5ème ainsi que le 6ème triple leurs points. Le premier du 7ème round c'est x4 et Le 8ème et dernier c'est x5 ! Les joueurs restants (9 à 16) qui n'ont pas gagné de rounds n'ont pas de multiplicateur appliqué à leurs points.
