4 FLEX CUTS | Tenshi with Lubed Gateron Black Inks | Sound Test ASMR
Board: Tenshi
Plate: FR4 Half
PCB: had60 with 4 flex cuts
Keycaps: GMK Laser
Switches: Gateron Black Inks v2
Lube/Film: 205g0/deskeys
Mods: 2 layers of tape on the flex cuts, polyfill
Decided to use some polyfill on the Tenshi to see what difference it would make. Didn't make THAT much of a difference, but the tape definitely did. I didn't tape the whole PCB, just the flex cuts. The combination of 4 flex cuts and gummy oring made it sound VERY muted but EXTREMELY flexible. The tape on the flex cuts made it so the switches were more pronounced but still retained the same sound profile. This thing sounds AMAZING and is extremely flexible at the same time.
PS. I wouldn't rock these keycaps personally, they're my friend's and I have them for when I decide to build his hex4b dreamcore. Overall though, GMK does sound pretty nice. It has a slightly higher pitch than doubleshot PBT and pops more. I can get behind either tbh.
