The 4th Battalion The Parachute Regiment has received the Freedom of Liverpool following a parade through the city. The honour marked a lengthy connection for the battalion with Liverpool and was marked by a fly-past over the waterfront by Lynx helicopters of 9 Regiment Army Air Corps, the aircraft which supported many of the same troops while they were out in Afghanistan.
