486 Updgrades Again

3I upgraded the 486 from a DX 33 to a DX2 66. Upped the RAM to 16MB.
I had planned to install a 4GB hard drive however the system would not recognise the drive properly in DOS, even though the controller card can recognises the size. It gave me the same problems as well on a 2GB hard drive, so am not sure whats going on there with it.
My tests with Wintune 2.0 show that the system hard drive performance is unusually slow and that there is nothing wrong with the drive, so my contorller card may be just to slow for correct function, I have several controller cards now though so I may just try them all until I find one that seems correct.
