Gameplay of the sub-sub-boss Sin in Incredible Technologies' BloodStorm.

Here's Sin, the only "Agent of Nekron" (read: palette-swap boss) to be fought as a sub-boss. The only thing really of note about her is that her stage features closing-in spiked walls (think the pit scene in Army of Darkness), and if you're unable to defeat her before the walls close in on you, you instantly lose. Again, such broken, unbalanced mechanics have absolutely no place in a fighting game, and while like a gimmick with like this is perhaps interesting the first time, it is very much just that; a gimmick. It's a little thing to distract you as opposed to something of substance to keep you interested in the game, and ultimately shows the inability on the part of the developers to keep players interested in the core gameplay without having some silly gimmick to dangle in their face at every turn.
