Video series, dedicated to how would the potential PlayStation 5 (PS5) backwards compatibility upgrade existing games. Today we are having a theoretical discussion about how would DriveClub for Playstation 4 run at 4K 60 FPS on the upcoming next generation PlayStation 5.
The current PS4 runs is built on the x86 platform, which means that PS5 will be able to provide games such as DriveClub backwards compatibility. Tough, the evolution studios, the studio behind DriveClub has been dissolved, it is nice to dream and see what would the PS5 CPU and GPU be able to do for games such as DriveClub on PS5.
DriveClub is a highly cinematic closed circuit racing game, which looks stunning with the rain effect. Though DriveClub was never upgraded to 4K, this footage has been captured on a PS4 Pro and supersampled to 4K.
Enjoy, the gameplay and I look forward to having weekly discussions with you about possible 4K PS5 backwards compatibility upgrades to older PS4 titles.
