This video compares the graphics of Borderlands 3 to Borderlands 2. Both are played on PC with 2160p resolution and max graphics. As you can see PhysX is activeated in BL2, the feature is missing in BL3. Borderland 3 features Unreal Engine 4 which helps to create more realistic material and environment and adds feature like subsurface scattering (the scene where I compare the sailcloth).
