4k Hyperlapse - Chester to Christleton on the Shropshire Union Canal
Taking a superfast trip from Chester City centre to rural Cheshire in Christleton along the Shropshire Union Canal. This time I had our dog with us, Jarvis the Border Terrier, who somewhat complicates matters. with his constant stopping to sniff and do "other stuff" I had to edit out some sections but I think the end result is ... ok!
If you are ever visiting Chester and fancy a long walk I recommend this route. If you stay on the canal a little further you can take lunch in the Cheshire Cat accessible from the canal. Or, like me, you can take a round trip and end in The Old Harkers Arms where the food and drink is fabulous. You may have guessed my favourite is a pint of Titanic Breweries Plum Porter! So good!
I shot this using the GoPro Hero Black 12 in Hyperlapse mode and switched in between video and hyperlapse mode as and when I wanted to highlight some features along the way. Perhaps not as historic as the Chester Walls Hyperlapse but a good 4 mile walk nonetheless!
If you are astute enough to see the liquid effect on some sections of the video its because I was testing the best frame interpolation to get from 25 fps shot to 50fps in final render. This mostly used Optical Flow and failed in some sections. Sorry!
