Chester City 2000 Year Old Walls - Hyperlapse Tour
#hyperlapse #gopro #chester
Ever fancied a walk around Chester's historic City walls? No? Well I'm going to take you on a hyperlapse tour anyway with some breaks for landmarks and scenery along the way.
Hyperlapse is my new fun thing to do. This particular video was made using the GoPro Hyperlapse function. Hyperlapses are essentially the same as a timelapse the difference being with a hyperlapse the camera moves. Taking pictures in quick succession a Hyperlapse stitches together these pictures giving the impression of a fast moving video. The beauty of using the GoPro function is I can switch to standard video when something interesting comes along.
If history isn't your thing though I have a number of hyperlapses in the making including some fun with Lego!
Chester is the only City in Britain that has retained its walls built for defensive purposes in the past. The walls were originally built by the Romans around 2000 years ago so not far from 0 AD. The Walls are a huge tourist attraction and feature many historic landmarks as the defences developed over Chester's history as well as some amazing views. On a good day you can see the top of Moel Famau in North Wales.
