A big long livestream wherein I celebrated July 4th the best way I know how - playing random 2D Mario games to completion (using warps where possible and rewind/save states whenever I felt like it) and eating one hotdog for each game I finished. Of the twelve core Mario games I put on my wheel (which chose which game was next) we finished 8 of them and let me tell you, 8 hot dogs is too many hot dogs. Oof.

The games we played where a good split between the new ones and the old ones, which was nice. I also got to play two I had never played before, Super Mario Land and New Super Mario Bros. Plus a couple of the best ones, SMB3 and SMW chief among them. I think we got good pulls.

Talked about a lot during this stream. Ideas for 2D platformers came up and the massive time investment it would take to turn such ideas into an actual game outside of Mario Maker. So too did Humanity (PS5 game), upcoming games, stream ideas, theme park plans, Smash Remix, and one new anime with aggressively weird camera angles.
