The Rareware Roulette - Switching Between 7 Rare Games Randomly Every Minute Or Two
0This is the Rareware Roulette, a big long stream celebrating reaching the milestone of 500 Twitch followers, which is a big number. For this stream I used BizHawk Shuffler to automatically switch between seven Rareware games automatically randomly every minute or two, which made for a chaotic fun time. The games? The DKC Trilogy, Kazooie, Tooie, Grunty's Revenge and It's Mr Pants. Five of my favorite games of all time basically, and Grunty's Revenge is pretty good too.
We went for around 11 hours which probably means, by my math, we swapped games around 500 times. Pretty disorienting, but in a fun way. Some of these games haven't felt this hard to me in many years. Still, we got pretty far in each game reaching some arbitrary end point in each that I came up with on the fly during the last hour of the stream based on whatever would be a satisfying finale for each game that wasn't too far off. Felt good!
Throughout the stream I talked about a whole hell of a lot of stuff starting with a bunch of stuff about recent games Pikmin 4 and Tears of the Kingdom, the later of which involving end game spoilers for first time. I also talked a lot about the Summer Simulcast Anime Season, but I only gave myself an hour for that (the Anime Hour) so I had to talk fast. Cowboy Chicken, HEB, Sopranos, The General's Daughter, X & Travel also came up - it was a very long stream I talked about a lot.
