5 exciting new games on Steam that you may have missed
Minoria
Minoria is an action game created by the people who developed the Momodora series. In fact, it is considered a "sequel" to that series, and it seems to have achieved similarity to the series despite its more modern aesthetic. The fighting style in this game is a mix of close-range combat and long-range magic. The Momodora series is loved by many, and Bombservice's new game looks like a more neat and beautiful continuation of this series.
Monster Sanctuary
Launched in Early Access last week, Monster Sanctuary is a mix of Pokemon and Metroidvania. The game follows turn-based combat, and you will have to consider the skills skills tree in 3v3 battles. The monsters that you tame can also be used to reach inaccessible areas of the world, making their capture important in discovery as well as for self-defense. Moi Rai Games hopes the game will carry out Early Access within a year, with more monsters, more areas and an improved skill tree according to the set plan.
Buoyancy
Buoyancy is an underwater game that focuses on survival mode, but unlike Raft, it focuses on building and managing a floating city. In addition to keeping your ocean community nourished and happy, you will need to avoid natural disasters and the attention of various pirates. The game is currently in Early Access and is expected to last for 8-12 months, while the studio adds "new mechanisms and more features".
MicroTown
The studio responsible for MicroTown asserts that this "village building and management simulator" will help you relax. You will have to keep your villagers happy and manage the production chain as time goes by. You will discover new technologies and materials, and exploit and use them in your work. One thing worth noting is that this game will be free from violent actions or conflicts: this game is meant to relax. MicroTown is in Early Access and is expected to last for up to six months while the studio adds a host of new features.
Until You Fall
Until You Fall is a VR fighting game set in a dramatic fantasy world. "Try your sword fighting skills when you use both magic and melee to fight enemies in a chaotic environment," is the description of the game. "You will have to fight, collect money and forge new weapons to become stronger." It is currently in the Early Access stage and will be there until 2020, with more weapons, enemies, environmental elements and more added. At the same time, it will also be compatible with Oculus Rift and Vive devices.
