Not long ago, CD Projekt Red brought GWENT to PC before releasing it on Xbox One and PS4. I was quite surprised that it was not yet released on mobile when the console version released by the card game genre is usually very easy to work on mobile platforms.

Earlier this year, the company finally announced its plans to bring the game to mobile. And after a trial period, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is now available for free for iOS users. At first, I just thought that Gwent was just a part of The Witcher 3 and now, it has really become a giant version in its own right, to be able to play on my phone.

This is a fairly simple game, maybe that's why it was so well done. You can play any card in your hand without any mana restriction, although you can only play once per card. This means you can start the game with your strongest cards or save them for later use.

A match is decided to win over three rounds, which means that there will be a lot of strategies involved in deciding where and when to release a certain number of cards. There are two different rows for melee and ranged cards and you only need to have more points than your opponent to win a round, win two rounds and you have won the match. It is certainly not too difficult to understand at the basic level but you will be surprised because there are so many different tactics that actually involve Gwent.

If you currently play Gwent and on the PC platform, you will be able to continue working on the iOS version of the game. Sadly, the same thing does not apply to those who have immersed time into the Xbox One or PS4 version. Hopefully the publisher will have an update soon so people can continue the game on the platforms.

Gwent is currently available on the App Store, which is a free game with in-app purchases. The download size is 2.4 GB and requires iOS 12 and above. You need an iPhone 6S or later on the iPhone side, while with an iPad Mini iPad 4, iPad 5th generation, iPad Air 2 or iPad Pro. There is currently no detailed information on the Android version of the game, but I will definitely appear soon.
