5 Features CDPR could ADD NOW to make Cyberpunk 2077 a Better Game
3,671Cyberpunk 2077's release has been anything but smooth. If you've been watching FudgeMuppet recently, then you would have heard about our strong feelings towards the game; both positive and negative. We enjoyed playing through the main story, the side character arcs, and soaking up the beautiful art design while utilizing some powerful and fun builds - like our Neurotoxin Netrunner build. But we also found that certain aspects of the game, primarily choice and consequence, and open world features, really let us down. While some of the main flaws are unlikely to be fixed, as it would involve changing too much core content, there's definitely some improvements that could be made which would make the game world feel way more lived in, and give it more substance in addition to it's already beautiful style. In today's video we're going to be more positive, and simply look at 5 features, that are within the realms of realism, that CDPR could start working on right now to make Cyberpunk a better game. Consider this video a very small taste of what's to come in our Ideal Cyberpunk 2077 video, where we'll be taking you through all of our ideas on how we'd ideally make Cyberpunk the best game possible.
For a quick summary of our thoughts, we found the game to be good in the sense that there's a solid main story, a beautiful world-aesthetic/art design, and cool characters with some neat side quests. However, because we all played through picking different choices, we quickly realized that the game underdelivers when it comes to player choice & consequence, as well as the idea of 'living' in the game. Cyberpunk 2077 does not give the player that much agency, and you definitely can't 'be anyone' or 'do anything' in the world. You are V, and you play V's story. That said, it's worth stating that we had a lot of fun playing this story and enjoying the different playstyles on offer.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action RPG developed and published by CD Projekt. Mike Pondsmith, the creator of Cyberpunk, was a consultant during game production, and actor Keanu Reeves has a starring role. The player assumes the first-person perspective of V, a mercenary who has three different life backgrounds for the player to choose from. The game takes place in Night City, an open world area set in the Cyberpunk universe. As the player completes quests and levels up, they can develop their abilities in hacking, technical skills, and various melee and ranged combat styles.
