5 Things You Didn’t Know About Titanfall (in text form)

5. There are two burn cards that were cut from the first Titanfall. The first is Extra Credit. It would simply give you 1000 xp. The second is Stack the deck which would let you use more than 3 burn cards in a single game.

4. Early on in development the R-10C assault rifle was known as the RSPN-101, which is supposedly short for Respawn, the creators of Titanfall. There’s also a Respawn logo on the sites of the gun.

3. The Kraber AP Sniper rifle fires a 14.5x114mm round. This is a real round created in the Soviet Union in 1941. It’s used in the Russian KPV heavy machine gun. To give some perspective, a standard .50 caliber bullet is 12.7x99mm. There’s more to bullets than just size, but the Kraber fires a big freaking bullet.

2. On the multiplayer map Fracture you can find cans of soda on the floor in a few of the buildings. Taking a closer look reveals that they are called “Dr Paprika”. Paprika is a spice made from various types of peppers, like green peppers, sweet peppers, and even cayenne peppers. With that knowledge it’s very clear that Dr Paprika is a reference to Dr Pepper.

1. Due to a lack of time during Titanfall's development, the cinematic level intros were going to be cut out. But one of the programmers completed the first pass of one of the intro in three days, proving that they could pull it off for every campaign level. Thus saving all of them.

"Titanfall's development was plagued with a lack of resources and time. At a crucial point in the development process the question arose as to whether we had enough time to make significantly different intros to the campaign levels. As the intro cinematic specialist, Airbase was my answer to that question. I literally completed the first pass of the intro in three days, proving that we could pull it off for every campaign level."
