The beginning story. It was August 3rd 2020. The day I started playing DDR for the first time. My accuracy was all messed up and I had trouble passing level 10 charts. I remember barely passing possession basic single that day and I was so proud of myself. Fast forward to May 18, 2021, I get my first 14 PFC (https://youtu.be/Or57bjvBD6w), and I was ecstatic. I only had one 12 pfc and one 13 pfc back then so it was such a hype moment for me that I got a 14 pfc. Then… May 12, 2022, just a little under a year after I got my first 14 PFC, I GOT MY 14 PFC #100. TRIPLE DIGIT 14 PFCs. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD!!!!! This chart actually was so hard for me, I wantes to go for #50 but I just wasn’t good enough to PFC this back then. 135 is such a weird BPM, and I struggled with it even these days but so glad to get this as #100!
50 * 2 = 100, and I am thinking about voltroom’s “BEGINNING STORY.” The perfect song for 14 PFC #100. Also with that nice MA :) I talk more about my thoughts and shoutouts for this PFC, but I’ll mention them again here. This PFC is for y’all Chicagoland players. Y’all are the best. Y’all made my life in Illinois way better and helped me stay sane amidst all these chaos in my life. Playing DDR with some of you, like Mudkipz, Twans, sk8s, ATB, LPXOVER, CJ, SQUID, mickey, and hanging with some of you too, like CROSS, Koushiro, NiTe, SLIMJIM, SpeakEZ, pr0se, Yotoshi, Sofu, mel, shiro, Ewick, Johnny, Ruben, Ermegerd, PRINTS, FUKKONMI. I was extremely stressed with not knowing what my future is going to be last semester and those stress and anxiety went away (despite temporarily) when I was playing DDR with y’all at R1, and just hanging out in general. I made many good friends in Chicagoland and I thought I’d be able to be with all of you for longer than just one year, but… life happens, and I am still very grateful for all the connections I’ve made while staying here and cherish them, despite just for one year. The Chicagoland community is amazing. I will miss the community so much. Which is why I’m so happy to reach the three digits before leaving Illinois. :)
My new year’s resolution (and my summer goal)… is done now! What to do next?… 14 gold lamp? 👀 (haha jk… unless?)
