2A Way Out is a Two-Player Cooperative Action-Adventure Game developed by Hazelight Studios (headed by the very popular Josef Farez) wherein the players will be using Vincent and Leo who are both incarcerated in prison for various crimes. In this game, the players will need to use both their wits and cooperation in order for the protagonists to escape the clutches of prison and attain freedom for them to pursue Harvey, the man who caused each of them to be in prison in the first place.
A game which received decent game scores from various gaming reviewers and outlets. The game was praised for applying and option to play the game in online multiplayer or through couch coop as well as the various interactions of the game both serious and goofy, the interesting puzzles as well as to its characters and surprising ending. However, criticisms were also given to its predictable and short storyline applying classic tropes in action movies, its awkward animations as well as some noticeable bugs.
As for me, I really enjoyed the gameplay and mechanic of the game. Although its quality is not that much good, it is still nice that some games nowadays gives you an option to play offline coop. Moreover, the story is intriguing to me although I also have the same reaction as to the predictability to the flow of the story and was sad on how short the game is. However, the gameplay and the twist of cooperation between the two players made it very enjoyable and memorable for me. Overall, an underrated game for me. If you have anyone to play with whether online or offline, I recommend playing this game! Enjoy!
