There is a joy in silence,
in the quiet in-between,
in that briefest of moments,
seldom felt and seldom seen.

If you look, you'll find it
in shadow of midnight,
worn and softly moonlit,
just nearly out of sight.

It will fill your blood,
through your skin's very pores,
like a flowering bud,
with fertile spores.

Softly, slowly
the noise will fade
until, wholly
it is replaced.

Lullaby,
Rhapsody,
Silent sigh,
Leaving me.

Slow now,
with skill,
the Dao
instills.
